The Story Behind

“No thanks, it’s my duty.” In Arabic, لا شكر على واجب is a reply to being thanked for something you feel you should do anyway. The Voice carries that thought across its back.

A tribute to Macklemore and his voice for Palestine, the artwork brings together a raised flag, a crowd and words that need no reward. Made with 200,000 stitches per shirt, it is a piece you can feel as well as read.
